Get a Mini Course in Scuba Diving For the Non-certified on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands!
Have you ever wanted to give Scuba Diving a try? With this mini course, you can do just that on the half day trip. Here’s the deal…
- Before your day with us, do a quick 15 – 20 minute Discover Scuba prep course.
- On your scheduled day, your instructor and you will spend time on the boat to review what you’ve learned.
- Once at the dive site, you will get in the ocean in a calm area with pool like conditions to learn some skills and see what it’s like to breath underwater.
- Then once you’re comfortable, you will head out for a real dive with your instructor by your side.
- After the dive, enjoy some snacks on the way to the second spot, where you can spend some time snorkeling or, if you enjoyed your dive and want to do another, you can dive at the second spot for $50. You can decide that after your dive.
Included:
- Certified dive instructor/guide
- Dive and snorkel gear
- Shorty wetsuit
- Water, soda, light snacks.
- FUN!
- The captains Rum Punch.. if he likes you and decides to share once you’re done diving!
What to bring:
- swimwear, sun protection (sunshirt/rashguard, hat, sunglasses, reef safe sunscreen)
- towels or other creature comforts for the boat ride
- personal snack or drink if you have specific dietary needs
- Smiles
- Gratuity for the crew whom you’re guaranteed to love!
What NOT to bring:
- Spray application item (sunscreens, hair products etc)
- Glass items or containers.
Note:
- If jumping into the ocean sounds overwhelming, sign up for our “Try Diving, Pool Time”.
- All Discover Scuba Diving participants must be able to swim.
- All Discover Scuba Diving participants MUST complete a standard Diver Medical Questionnaire which is provided at the start of your Discover scuba preparation. Please review the medical questionnaire well in advance of your online prep and your trip as some conditions require pre-approval by a physician. It does not disqualify you from participating. It just means a doctor needs to say your good to go BEFORE you go diving. (If you are flagged to need a doctor approval but don’t bring one, you will be able to snorkel but not dive.)
- We need a minimum of 3 divers to run any boat trip. In the unlikely event we do not have a minimum of 3 divers, we will inform you ASAP, offer to reschedule or refund your full booking charge. Participants may also buy additional seats to keep the excursion from being cancelled.
